2005 Rotaract Preconvention Meeting

Looking for something to do in Chicago June 17-18? It's not too late to join Rotaractors from around the world at the 2005 Rotaract Preconvention Meeting in Chicago, USA, 17-18 June 2005. Come participate and share ideas with Rotaractors from around the globe. Rotaractors are invited to participate in the Rotary Centennial Convention, directly following the last day of the Preconvention Meeting. Pre-registration is now closed; you may register on site for US$100.

The Rotaract Club of Chicago will host various social events for visiting Rotaractors, providing an opportunity to network and enjoy fellowship in a more relaxed environment. Consider attending one or all of these great activities, including a walking tour of Chicago, Friday evening dinner, Saturday gala event, and a community service project on Sunday. 2004-05 RI Recognition of Outstanding Rotaract Projects

This year, the RI Recognition of Outstanding Rotaract Project award goes to not one but two deserving international winners. This double honor reflects the exceptional work carried out by Rotaractors around the world. The international winners will be announced at the upcoming Rotaract Preconvention Meeting in Chicago.

Regional winners include: Africa Regional winner, the Rotaract Club of Benue State University, District 9120, Nigeria; Europe Regional winner, the Rotaract Club of Ankara-Ulus, District 2430, Turkey; Latin and South America Regional winner, the Rotaract Club of Paranaguá-Rocio, District 4730, Brazil, and USA, Canada, and the Caribbean Regional Winner, the Rotaract Club of Downtown San Diego, California, District 5340,USA.

Upcoming Events

Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference
The second Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference will be held 26-29 August in Tamsui, Taipei, Taiwan. The event is organized and hosted by the Rotaract Club of Districts 3460, 3470, 3480, 3490, 3500, and 3510. The Conference will focus on exploring the role Rotaract can play in the new century. Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference

Interota 2005

Interota 2005 will be held 11-18 September 2005 in Munich, Germany, and hosted by District 1840. Topics for discussion will include education, international understanding, health, the environment, and international service projects. Sightseeing and other cultural events will also take place throughout the week. Interota, a worldwide Rotaract meeting held every three years, is organized and sponsored by Rotaractors and provides a forum for sharing ideas, concerns, and experiences.
